We are thrilled to share some incredible news with our community! The Academy of Computer Science and Engineering (Comp Sci High) has been officially designated as a 2026 National Magnet School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America (MSA) .
This prestigious award is a reflection of the hard work, innovation, and passion that our students and staff bring to our building every single day. In their formal announcement, the MSA highlighted our school's “exceptional depth and balance of achievement across school-wide performance, staff leadership, and student excellence” .
The reviewers were particularly impressed by our “comprehensive, school-wide integration of the Computer Science Magnet Theme” and noted that our program provides a “powerful impact on access and opportunity in computing fields” . Furthermore, Comp Sci High was recognized for how we “demonstrate exemplary practice in leveraging diversity through both instructional and systemic design” .
